Assistance in Richmond:

Richmond Food Bank   - NOT CHEQUE WEEK -

WED & THU from 11:00am-1:00pm and the third WED of each month from 6:00-7:00pm
To qualify you must be a resident of Richmond. Identification with your address and a Care Card is required to register. HIV+ people can receive extra fresh produce if you ask a manager.

Richmond Food Bank East Depot   - NOT CHEQUE WEEK -
11571 Daniels Rd. (Peace Mennonite Church gymnasium)
TUE from 1:00pm-2:00pm
To qualify you must be a resident of Richmond. Identification with your address and a Care Card is required to register. HIV+ people can receive extra fresh produce if you ask a manager.

The Salvation Army Emergency Food Bank
8280 Gilbert Road, TEL: 604-277-2424
MON to FRI from 9:00am-4:00pm. (Closed 12:30-1:30pm daily)
Provides a grocery bag with non-perishable items and bread.

The Heart of Richmond AIDS Society

Provides monthly grocery assistance to people living with HIV/AIDS. To qualify you must meet our criteria of low income and have been a member of the Society for 3 months. Priority is given to Richmond residents.

Locations in Burnaby, Vancouver, New West & North Shore. TEL: 604-876-3601
You must call in advance. Limit of one service per week.
Depots located throughout Vancouver. ID is required to register.

Salvation Army Community and Family Services

Must call for an appointment. Office hours MON to FRI from 8:30am-3:30pm. Families with children only. All family members must have identification. Vancouver/Burnaby residents only.

AIDS Vancouver
1107 Seymour St., TEL: 604-893-2270
TUE & WED from 1:00pm-4:00pm. Provides groceries to people living with HIV/AIDS. In order to qualify you must be a member and meet their criteria of low income. No service on cheque week.

A Loving Spoonful
100-1300 Richards St., TEL: 604-682-6325
Deliveries made on Tuesdays; drop-in available for clients without fixed address. Provides nutritious meals to people living with HIV/AIDS in the Vancouver/Richmond area based on medical need. Referrals must be made by a physician. Infant formula available for HIV+ mothers.
